"What is this Life if Full of Care, We have no time to Stand and Stare" - William Henry Davies
Nestled in a lush agricultural land, the primary design intent was to offer the users unobstructed views of the sprawling farm from any location in the house. The romantic idea of waking up to see your farm, or sipping on hot tea whilst lounging in your living room watching your cows graze have birds chirping above you while you have your dinner cooked with your own hand plucked vegetables. We wanted the clients to live an orchestrated lifestyle built on their fantasies.
A continuous Steel Roof , clad with Teak Wood Batons ,covers the 100 ft long house. The Large openable Glass Walls and the leather finished clad floor plate form the 3 predominant design moves of the project. These Shell layers become the design language of the insides and give the home its distinct character.
The project gets its name from the large Mango tree we found in the centre of the plot, below which the house is nestled.
